February 2nd Devotion—Day 33

Verse (1 John 3:1, NKJV)

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

Reflection

There are moments when I have to slow myself down and truly behold this truth. I am called a child of God. Not because I earned it, but because the Father chose it. For years, I lived more like a servant trying to do things right than a son who belonged. This verse reminds me that my identity is settled. The world may not understand this, and at times it may not recognize who I am becoming, but that no longer shakes me. What matters is that the Father knows me and calls me His own. When this truth anchors my heart, striving loses its grip and peace takes its place.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, that we belong to You. Let this truth anchor our identity.

Our family walks in the confidence of divine sonship.
