God’s Abundance Of Goodness For You

There are those who teach saying the gospel of Jesus Christ does not include prosperity and health. If you listen to them, you will cut yourself off from some of the most wonderful promises of our God and King, and furthermore, you reduce all that Christ purchased on the cross for you.

It’s really very simple. Christ blood and death purchased for you access to all of God and His Kingdom (John 4:6; Ephesians 2:18; 3:12; Hebrews 6:9). He is completely accessible through faith. Don’t let anyone steal your faith! Without it, it’s impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Don’t be like them, for the Gospel does not profit them because they fail to mix it with faith (Hebrew 4:2).

The whole word of God declares His goodness and prosperity. It simply drips of it. Our sin snd unbelief separates us from the goodness of God. The Good News declares that we now have restoration with the Great King and that we can now be one with Him (John 15 & 17) and all that He is.

Here are two (of many) places in Scripture that declare is goodness and prosperity.

The first from Psalm 65.

“There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, And to You the vow will be performed. O You who hear prayer, To You all men come. Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You forgive them. How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea; Who establishes the mountains by His strength, Being girded with might; Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples. They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy. You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth. You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth. You have crowned the year with Your bounty, And Your paths drip with fatness. The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing. The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.” NASB

Do you see the prosperity and the goodness of our King? It says, “How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.”

Then it goes on to declare the plentifully water and fertile land and abundant crops, so much so, that the land rejoices and sings!

Don’t you want to be associated and relationship with this wonderfully, marvelous King? I do!!

Look at what Jesus says in Matthew 6:25-34,

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” NASB

Wow! Jesus says “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!”

He will clothe you more wonderfully than the gorgeous lilies of the field, and even more splendid than Solomon in all His glory! Remember, Solomon was the most wealthy person on earth in His day, and you’ll be clothed greater than him!

And that we are! We are clothed in Christ’s righteousness (Zechariah 3:4; Isaiah 61:10). But don’t just let that be a religious truth to you. It will rob you of the reality of what it means! Those who trust in Christ and are robbed in righteousness have access to all of the Kings glory! Think about that just one minute.

Don’t let anyone try to rob you of your rich inheritance (Ephesians 1:18). You can’t even imagine all He has available to you through faith(Ephesians 3:20).

Read your Word! It’s full of God’s amazing Goodness that He so longingly desires to unleash upon you and the world, if only we would believe!
