The kings He is the King of

I love that Jesus is the King of kings. It gives me great hope. You see, I am a king because I am a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
I used to read this and think that Jesus was the King of people who were presidents or rulers of countries. Then I discovered that Revelation 1:6 KJV says,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.
Again, Revelation 5:10 says,
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God; And we shall reign on the earth.
Is this reigning on the earth just during the Millennium? Genesis 1:27-28 says that dominion was given to mankind at the very beginning.
Genesis 1:27-28 Amplified
So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”
When Jesus came, He laid aside His divinity and took the path of a humble servant. At His baptism, He was clothed in power by the Holy Spirit. From that time He went into the wilderness, was tempted and overcame the devil. Coming out from the wilderness, He went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed of the devil. (Philipians 2:5-11, Acts 10:38) He set the example of what a King does, so that as we walk in the dominion He has given us (Gen 1:27-28), we can follow His humble example.
Look what Isaiah 32:1-4 says,
Behold, a King will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule with justice. Each [one of them] will be like a hiding place from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched and weary land [to those who turn to them]. Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen attentively. The heart (mind) of those who act impulsively will discern the truth, and the tongue of the stammerers will hurry to speak clearly.
Every one of us is to be clothes in power from on high. This is the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. Just as we receive Jesus as our Savior by faith, so we receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit by faith.
I noticed that each one of them is to be a hiding place from the wind and shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched and weary land to those who turn to them. So often we pursue people to try to touch their lives, but they are not drawn to us. Look at all the damage done on Facebook! You take something that is precious to you and a scoffer begins to ridicule your post. They obviously are not turning to us!
Like Jesus, who though the very Son of God, had to be clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit to be effective in His ministry, so we too must not fail to be clothed with power from the Holy Spirit. This clothing is called Christ or the Anointing. The only way you and I can be a hiding place, a shelter, have streams of water or be like the shade of a huge rock in this world, is by the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is this burden removing power that causes those drawn to us to have eyes to see and ears to hear. It causes minds to think right and tongues to speak clearly the truth.
Finally, Isaiah 32:15-18 says,
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field is valued as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness will live in the fertile field. And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever. Then my people will live in a peaceful surrounding, and in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places.
It is only when we are clothed with power from on high that we can have an impact on this wilderness of a world we live in. If you haven’t asked for this empowerment, ask today.
Say, “Father, apart from you I can do no good thing, but anointed by your Holy Spirit, I can go about doing good, healing those oppressed by the devil, for you are with me. Clothe me now with your power. Cause rivers of living water to flow from me. Cause your presence to be like a shadow of a great rock all around me. You are Christ in me my hope of glory! (Colossians 1:27)
Now praise Him, believe that you receive and be attentive to those God draws to you. He will tell you what to say. It's harvest time! This is the good life!
